The main purpose of this website is to provide emergency information during a natural or man-made emergency or disaster. Important information will be posted on the ACTIVE EMERGENCY INFORMATION page which is also accessible by clicking on the EMERGENCY INFO button above.
Some examples of active emergencies are: Severe Weather Events, Flooding, Large Structure or Wildfires, 911 phone outages, Extended Power Outages, Chemical Spills or Releases, Man Hunts, School Violence, Terrorist Activities (domestic or foriegn), and any other situation that would necessitate providing emergency information to the public.
The Road Closures page will have information on roads closed due to repairs or road work requiring a detour. Information will be posted as it is received by the Mecosta County Road Commission.
Other pages will provide information and links regarding emergency preparedness, awareness and community readiness.
