CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR ALERTS
Mecosta County Emergency Management is using the Nixle notification system to issue important alerts, advisories and directional information to the public during a significant emergency or disaster occurring in the county. To receive these messages from county officials you will need to sign up to the system which will allow you to receive messages by text and email even if you are out of the area or state. The only time you would not receive messages when you are out of the area is if the county selects a certain geographic area they would like to receive these messages.
Because text messages must be kept short, a link will be included in the text message directing you to the web portion of the message, if you are using a smartphone, which will go into greater details on the situation. Also you can view any current message issued from Mecosta County by going to www.nixle.com and in the box that says "Enter your zip code to see what's happening where you live" enter your zip code. You will then be able to click on and view any active message from Mecosta County Emergency Management.
